Custom made T-Shirt Quilts 

What's filling those dresser drawers until you can't close them? T-shirts!!! You don't wear them anymore, but you can't bear to part to with them.

Preserve those cherished memories. Have a fun and functional t-shirt quilt made! T-shirts tell stories. They could be from camp, school, business or a summer at the shore. Remember all those concerts and vacations? You can wrap yourself up in a t-shirt quilt and never forget them.

A t-shirt quilt makes a great gift for graduation, for birthdays, or for any occasion. It will be an instant heirloom, because each one is unique.

How do I do this? You supply the t-shirts, and I'll do the rest . You can choose either the traditional block style where every block is the same size or the variable block style where there are different size blocks within the quilt.

I'll put your t-shirt quilt together for you. Each t-shirt will be stabilized so it does not stretch. I use only quality 100% cotton fabric, and cotton/poly batting. Each t-shirt quilt is quilted on a longarm quilting machine. You pick the overall quilting pattern, which will be sewn with a neutral color thread. Variegated thread is also available. Designing Quilts never ties any quilts.

Each t-shirt quilt is bound and finished by hand, receiving all the care such a collection of memories deserves.

The American quiltmaking tradition has been carried on for centuries, and the heirloom quilts of the 21st century are t-shirt quilts. They are today's memory quilts.

A favorite photo can be imprinted on fabric and become part of the t-shirt quilt. There is an additional $10 per photo charge for this service. All photos will be returned to you.

Add a hanging sleeve to hang your t-shirt quilt on a wall for $25.00.

A 50% deposit is required when you order your t-shirt quilt and can be made by check, money order or online via Pay Pal.

When your quilt is done, I will email/call you for the balance via the methods mentioned above. Once payment is received, your quilt will be shipped. All quilts shipped to addresses within New York State are subject to NY sales tax.

Shipping and handling for your t-shirt quilt will be via USPS Priority or UPS-whichever method you prefer and I charge by the weight of the quilt plus insurance.

The t-shirts must be washed and dried without fabric softener. Don't cut them, that's part of our service. If you have shirts with logos on front and back, and you want to use both, please indicate it on the order form. If you only want one logo used, please attach a safety pin to the one you want used. Each logo or photo is treated as a separate block, but two smaller logos(eg pocket sized ones) can be combined to make one block.

When you pack the t-shirts for shipping, please fold them and place inside a sealed plastic bag. We recommend that you also put the shipping information in the bag with the shirts. Shirts2Quilts will email/call you upon receipt of your t-shirts.

Prices

T-shirt quilt sizes range from wallhanging (9) to king (36).
Pricing includes everything except your t-shirts.
